Who is Neil Morrissey?

Neil Morrissey was born on 4 July 1962 in Staffordshire. He was one of four brothers.

However, when he was 10 Neil Morrissey and one of his brothers Stephen were put under a care order and sent to separate children's homes.

His important breakthrough came when he won a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

It led to a successful acting career most notably playing Tony in Men Behaving Badly and providing the voiceover to Bob The Builder.

1n 2000, he had a much publicised affair with Amanda Holden, who was married to Les Dennis at the time.

Morrissey set up a pub business, but it ended up in debt.

The beginning of 2016 saw Neil Morrissey cast as Harry Palfrey in BBC1's The Night Manager; and also he appeared on ITV1's Bear Grylls: Mission Survive.

In August 2017, the BBC announced that Neil Morrissey would be one of the celebrities in a three-part series The Pilgrimage, joining thousands of pilgrims on their way through the Spanish landscape.
