Phil Turner was owner / director of Turner's Pies when he became a candidate in The Apprentice in 2024.
The company had been in the family since 1933 when Eva and Reginald Turner served their first pie.

One of the other candidates for The Apprentice, Paul Bowen was also a director of a pie company.
In spite of a poor track record in the various tasks in the series, Phil reached the final of The Appentice. However, he ended up runner-up, losing the final to Rachel Woolford.
