Who is Chris Geiger?

Chris Geiger was 50 years old when he became a contestant on The Great British Bake Off.

Chris was the second baker to be eliminated.

Originally from Sussex, at the time of Bake Off he was living in Bristol, where he worked as a software developer.

He is a cancer survivor, and has often written about the disease.

He went undercover with the BBC in 2013 to investigate Dr Corascendea Cathar and her claims of treating cancer. Chris Geiger won EDF Columnist of the Year in 2011 for his newspaper column in the Bristol Post.

He published the book The Cancer Survivors Club - a collection of stories from cancer survivors.

Trivia
He is the holder of he Guiness World Record for the most published feature newspaper article in one day by the same author.
