Who is Paul Hollywood?

Paul Hollywood was born on 1 March 1966, in Walllasey in Merseyside, the son of a baker.

Baking has run in his family - his grandfather was head baker at the famous Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool.

Paul Hollywood became head baker at various hotels including Cliveden and The Dorchester.

He also worked extensively abroad, including Cyprus, where he married Alexandra.

The marriage had a hiccough, when Paul Hollywood had an affair with his co-star, Marcela Valladolid on an American version of Bake Off.

However, in the end, Paul and Alexandra Hollywood stayed together. until July 2019, when they got divorced.

As well as his TV work, he set up the Paul Hollywood Artisan Bread Company.

His work on TV, started in 1999 co-hosting with James Martin on the Carlton Food Network.

Since then, he has had a variety of television credits, but is best known for his work alongside Mary Berry as a judge on The Great British Bake Off.

He has also written several books about bread.

In September 2016, Paul Hollywood revealed that although Mary Berry was leaving Bake Off when the show moved to Channel Four in 2017, he would be "staying in the tent".

In 2017, BBC2 broadcast Paul Hollywood's Big Continental Road Trip.

In December 2019 The Mirror reported on whom Paul Hollywood's had recently been romantically linked with.
