Fiona Wade's Biography
Fiona Wade was born on 20 March 1979 in Enfield.
Her mother is from the Philippines. Fiona's father Colin died from cancer when he was 64.
Fiona is a member of the Baha’i faith.
She was educated at Dame Alice Owen’s School in St Albans, Hertforshire.
At 16 years of age, Fiona Wade was cast as Joanna Day in Grange Hill.
Fiona was given a record deal when she was 18 and recorded in Sweden, but ended up pursuing a career in acting rather than music.
She appeared on stage in the likes of Miss Saigon, Romeo & Juliet and West Side Story, and on television in the likes of Where The Heart Is, Holby City, and Waterloo Road, before being cast as Priya Sharma in Emmerdale, making her first appearance in November 2011.
The character of Priya Sharma had previously been played by Effie Woods.
