Aoife Mulholland's Biography
She did well in 'Maria' but in the fifth programme she lost in a sing-off against Siobhan Dillon.
However, Aoife Mulholland did get to play the actual role in The Sound of Music! It was announced in March 2007 that Connie Fisher was reducing her workload and Aoife Mulholland was taking her role of Maria on Monday nights and Wednesday afternoons.
Aoife Mulholland had also been appearing as Roxie in the musical Chicago.
Aoife, who is the youngest of four siblings, is a student at the Central School of Speech and Drama (CSSD).
Before attending the CSSD, where she is doing an MA in Acting Musical Theatre, Aoife Mulholland studied music at University College Dublin, and did a PG Dip in Business Studies in National University Galway.
The Central School of Speech and Drama has Aoife Mulholland's CV, which points out that Aoife can do the following accents: American: New York, Southern, Californian, Scottish: Glasgow, English: Cockney, RP, and Australian.
Aoife is a friend of Abi Finley and is a proficient pianist (Grade 8). The Sound of Music was not new territory for Aoife Mulholland as she has played in it before - according to This is Theatre's profile of Aoife, she played Brigitta - and she was brought up by nuns.
After Maria, Aoife Mulholland was signed by agents Curtis Brown.
