Leanne Dobinson's Biography
Leanne Dobinson from Colchester was just 20 when she entered the BBC's How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?
She did well but was the fifth candidate to be eliminated from How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria after Andrew Lloyd Webber said he felt she was: "a little too young."
Leanne had singing lessons in her early teens, but taught herself to sing in Italian, French, German and Latin by borrowing CDs from the library after being inspired by a Leslie Garratt TV show.
According to her biography on the How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria website, Leanne loves Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli and her favourite musicals are The Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, and My Fair Lady.
Since Maria, Leanne Dobinson was cast to appear in panto in Windsor.
