Shane Lynch

Along with Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, and Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch was part of the highly successful boy-band Boyzone.

In May 2008, Boyzone including Shane Lynch reunited and began a UK tour.

Shane Lynch was one of the contestants in Sky One's Cirque De Celebrite in 2007.

Other Cirque De Celebrite contestants included Emily Scott, Princess Tamara and Luke Bailey.

Shane Lynch's entry into Cirque De Celebrite in 2007 was not his first appearance as a contestant on TV.

In 2004, Shane was joint winner of the second series of Channel 4's The Games.

In 2006, Shane Lynch was in Love Island from which he made a shock exit: "I have certainly made some mistakes with a certain person back home ... I need to put the mistakes right."

Later on, it was revealed that Shane Lynch had got back together with girlfriend Sheena White.

Shane Lynch was born in Ireland in 1976. He left school early and became a car mechanic working for his father, before joining Boyzone. Shane's two sisters Keavy and Edele were part of B*Witched and back in 1999 there was a curious piece of music history when B*Witched took over from Boyzone at number 1 - the first time a group has replaced members of their own family at number one.

Shane Lynch played Eli Knox in Sky One's Dream Team and he also acted in panto.

In this interview with the BBC, he explains his approach to acting and motor racing and how he believes in starting from a solid foundation.
