Tom Pellereau's Biography
It meant that Tom received an investment of £250,000 from Lord Sugar.
Tom won The Apprentice in spite of being on the losing team in 8 out of the 12 tasks.
Tom Pellereau, who was born in London, has always been keen on inventing and believes that his dyslexia is connected to his creativity and drive.
He struggled with English and languages at school, but went on to gain a first class honours degree with a masters in mechanical engineering with innovation and design from the University of Bath's Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2002.
Tom Pellereau saw his sister Harriet using a nailfile and it led to him inventing an S-shaped emery board called the Stylfile.
In 2004 when living in Hampshire he applied for the patent.
At the time of winning The Apprentice, Tom Pellereau was engaged to Sarah Fawcus.
Tom Pellereau went on to run a beauty accessories company, AVENTom, with Lord Sugar and had further inventions including a collapsible baby bottle and a make-up brush cleaner.
