Hassan Kobeissi was a 25 year old construction labourer from Newmarket when he entered BBC's Castaway.

In the information from the BBC before Castaway began, it mentioned that Hassan does not like to be told what to do by anyone and is not afraid to speak his mind, and sure enough, in programme 1, he got involved in an altercation with Jonathan Shearer - mind you, not such a difficult thing to do!

Hassan regularly works out at the gym and his hobbies include swimming, running, boxing, fishing, tennis and golf.
