Henry Bird's Biography

Henry Bird was a 20 year old student at Durham University when he became a contestant baker on The Great British Bake Off in 2019.

Henry first got into baking at just 12 years old.

He old Channel Four: "I have wanted to get into the tent since series 2.  They filmed it at the end of my road, so I used to see Paul Hollywood when I walked past the tent to go to school in the mornings, so I really got into it."

At the time of his competing in Bake Off, Henry Bird was studying English Literature.

Whilst at Durham he was cast in a production of Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus.
