Timmy Mallett came to fame presenting Wacaday on TV-am between 1985 and 1992, in which he had the game Mallett's Mallet. Timmy used to bash children over the head with a gigantic hammer if they got quiz questions wrong.

Timmy Mallett also hosted the children's TV show The Wide Awake Club.

After graduating from Warwick University, Timmy Mallett worked at BBC Radio Oxford and Radio Luxembourg.

In 1989, Timmy Mallett released a book How to be Utterly Brilliant, but is even better known for his record Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.

Like David Van Day, Timmy Mallett was a latecomer to I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2008.

He ended up being the fourth celebrity to leave the jungle after losing an eating contest against Brian Paddick. It was a difficult task for Timmy Mallett, in particular, as he is a vegetarian.

Timmy Mallett was a 53-year-old TV presenter when he entered the jungle.
