Craig Chalmers was 25 when he entered Any Dream Will Do.

Craig was voted off Any Dream Will Do in the seventh show after losing a sing-off with Ben, leaving only Keith, Lee, Lewis and Ben left in the competition.

However, in July 2007 the BBC reported that "Craig Chalmers has landed the starring role in the touring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."

In some respects Craig Chalmers had been a controversial choice for Any Dream Will Do.

The entertainer from Edinburgh had already been on a TV talent show, having progressed a long way in Pop Idol, which was won by Michelle McManus.

He gave all his profits from his Pop Idol appearances to the Moonbeam charity.

Craig Chalmers's roles include being a vocalist for strip group G Force, performing all over Edinburgh.

Craig told The Scotsman:

"I do a kind of half-strip, a 'Men in Black' routine where we start with suits and strip down to shorts and vests. But that's as far as I go."

Craig also did house calls with Fantasy Strip.

Craig Chalmers had previously appeared with Scots boy band No Reason and reached number seven in the Scottish charts.

In November 2003, Craig Chalmers was Number 23 in The Scotsman's list of the most eligible men. In February 2008, Bill Kenwright launched a pop group, Dream On, made up of Craig Chalmers and his Any Dream Will Do fellow contestants: Lewis Bradley, Antony Hansen, Chris Crosby and Chris Barton.
