Keith Jack's Biography
Any Dream Will Do contestant, Keith Jack was 19 when he entered the BBC talent show.
Keith ended up runner-up in Any Dream Will Do, beaten only by Lee.
Keith Jack, from Dalheith, Midlothian, is a customer service assistant at Tesco and is studying in Edinburgh for an HNC in Musical Theatre.
Keith Jack has won various local singing competitions, although he failed to qualify for the final stages of The X Factor when he was 16.
Keith Jack won a karaoke competition at the Rose Social Club and so bagged a session at the Edinburgh talent school Stagequest.
The Daily Record reported the founder of Stagequest, Adam Quest, as saying:
"Keith is a huge talent with an incredibly powerful voice and I firmly believe that he could win Joseph."
The Scotsman reported that to do Any Dream Will Do, Keith walked away "from the national tour of Chicago Rock Cafes that was part of his prize for winning the restaurant chain's Rock Idol contest. He also had to abandon his musical theatre course at Telford College."
Keith Jack told the BBC's Any Dream Will Do website, when asked about his dream role:
"Apart from playing Joseph, my dream role when I'm older would be the Phantom, I might try and talk to Andrew [Lloyd Webber] about that!"
In June 2007, The Edinburgh Evening News reported that Keith Jack had been invited to sing for the King and Queen of Spain.
Also, since Any Dream Will Do, Keith Jack was cast as the narrator in the touring production of Joseph.
