Joy was made redundant in New York and returned to the UK.

In 2010 Joy Stefanicki's linked in profile listed her as Director: Joyous Comms & Project Manager: West Midlands Graduate Internships.
Joy used to work at Deloitte in Brindley Place, and Crosby Homes.
Joy Stefanicki's parents had a pub where she cleaned dishes. At 16 she worked for a supermarket. She studied at Sherborne House school in Chandler's Ford and at Cardiff University.
After University Joy Stefanicki worked at TGI Friday's for a year.
Joy's parents Noah and Carol Stefanicki also had a city centre handbag and jewellery shop Pippa Janes in Southampton, but in 2010 decided to run the business without a shop front.
In her audition tape, Joy Stefanicki posited that she did not think she would be intimidated in the Apprentice boardroom unless someone knew a lot more than her in which case she thinks she would recognise that and would shut up.
However, many believe that it was her poor performance in the boardroom that let her down and led Lord Sugar to fire her.
As well as appearing on The Apprentice, Joy Stefanicki also auditioned for Big Brother.
