Kristina Grimes's Biography
Kristina Grimes, originally from Wicklow in Ireland, at the time of The Apprentice was a 36 year-old living in Harrogate.
Like fellow Apprentice candidates Jadine Johnson and Katie Hopkins, Kristina Grimes is a single mother.
Although she had her son, Graham, at a young age, she managed to get her BSc Hons Mathematics and care for her child.
At the time of The Apprentice, Kristina's son was 18 and of university age, and so Kristina felt that she was able to move down south and be 'The Apprentice'.
Along with Simon Ambrose, Kristina got into the final two of The Apprentice series 3. However, Sir Alan Sugar surprised many when, although giving very high praise to Kristina, he nevertheless made Simon the winner.
Before The Apprentice, Kristina was the regional sales manager for a pharmaceutical company.
Kristina enjoys horse-riding. Her events results include coming 12th in Richmond riding Easy as Pie.
On the verge of The Apprentice final, Kristina told the BBC:
"Anything that I've ever done, I've brought in successes. If he [Sir Alan Sugar] wants somebody who can go into his business, recognise a niche market, turn it around, bring him in more profit and not need to be guided at the same time, then I am his apprentice."
