Grainne McCoy
Grainne was a 31 year old owner of a makeup studio, living in Northern Ireland, when she entered The Apprentice series 12.
She heralds from Dromintee, near Newry.
She became a mother at just 16 years old. Her son Ryan was 15 at the time of The Apprentice.
Grainne managed Aldo shoe shop in The Quays shopping centre in Newry before becoming manager of Laura Mercier in Belfast’s House of Fraser, and then teaching make-up artistry in Dublin.
She then set up her own company, specialising in make-up for film and TV.
Grainne McCoy posted a few videos on YouTube about make-up shortly before The Apprentice.
In her audition for The Apprentice Grainne described herself as: “very talkative and outgoing.”
She came fifth in The Apprentice, just missing out on the final, being the first candidate to be fired at the 'interview' stage.
