Who is Hamish Gaman?

Hamish Gaman was born on 20 April 1983 in Surrey.

His regular ice skating partner is Caitlin Yankowskas. They were coached by Bruno and Julie Marcotte and Richard Gauthier.

Hamish and Caitlin's accolades include becoming the Great British Pairs Champions at the British Figure Skating Championships.

Previously, Hamish Gaman's ice skating partners included Vanessa James, Rebecca Collett, and Bridget Namiotka.

In November 2017, ITV announced that Hamish Gaman would be one of the professional skaters on Dancing on Ice in 2018.

He was 34 years old at the time of the announcement.

Hamish was paired with Perri Shakes-Drayton.

In 2019, he and Saara Aalto came third in Dancing on Ice series 11.

In 2020 he was paired with Caprice Bourret.

However, they missed the show on 19 January 2020 with ITV announcing that Caprice and Hamish had parted ways, but that Hamish remained on the show as a professional skater and they hoped Caprice would be back the following week.

Although Caprice did return to Dancing on Ice, she was no longer paired with Hamish. Instead she was partnered by Oscar Peter.

On 16 February 2020, Hamish Gaman pulled out of Dancing on Ice, saying the past three-and-a-half months had been the worst of his life.

However, soon afterwards he announced that he had got engaged to his long-term girlfriend Amelia Humfress.

In Dancing on Ice 2021, he partnered eventual runner-up Faye Brookes, but he had to pull out half way through the series because of injury.
