Gaynor Faye played Judy Mallet in Coronation Street in the late 1990s. Her first role after Coronation Street was in BBC One's Playing the Field written and produced by her mother Kay Mellor.

Gaynor Faye co-wrote with her mother and starred in the comedy series, Fat Friends.

Gaynor Faye was born in Leeds on 26 August 1971. Gaynor has two children - Oliver and Lily. Her fiance, Mark, has been kept busy taking them to school and nursery, picking them up, and making dinner whilst Gaynor was on Dancing on Ice.

Gaynor Faye, who is a Buddhist, took part in a mega coffee drinking session for charity, saying: "I was invited to come along because I am a big patron of Cancer Relief and big admirer of Macmillan nurses and I also support Fairtrade products ...So it seemed a perfect situation for me to enjoy a cup of coffee."

In Dancing on Ice, Gaynor's skating partner was Dan Whiston, who has won the UK Gold Medal, and they won the competition after a skate-off with Stefan Booth and his partner Kristina Cousins now known as Kristina Lenko.

Gaynor Faye with the help of Daniel Whiston released a fitness DVD, Gaynor Faye's Fit Friends.

In June 2009, Gaynor Faye and her partner Mark Pickering appeared on All Star Mr & Mrs.

Later, she was cast in the ITV soap Emmerdale.
