Former England goalkeeper, David Seaman was capped 75 times. His last international was against Macedonia in October 2002. He captained England for one game.

In January 2004, David Seaman, who was playing for Manchester City, retired from football because of a recurring shoulder injury.

David Seaman is famous for a series of bad haircuts culminating in a dreadful ponytail, which he had chopped off for charity. Brian Clough said of him: "That Seaman is a handsome young man but he spends too much time looking in his mirror, rather than at the ball. You can't keep goal with hair like that."

David Seaman has been a team captain of BBC One's popular comedy sports quiz, They Think It's all Over.

In Dancing on Ice, David Seaman partnered former British National Champion, Pam O'Connor. However, Pam dislocated a shoulder whilst dancing with David and Natalia Pestova stood in. Pam was back for the semi-finals, but David and Pam lost the skate-off and just missed getting in the final of Dancing on Ice.

David Andrew Seaman was born in Rotherham on 19 September 1963. He has been goalkeeper with Leeds, Peterborough, Birmingham, QPR, Arsenal and Manchester City.

In 2009, The Mail reported on the reaction of Debbie Seaman to David Seaman setting up home with Frankie Poultney.

In March 2010 David Seaman's second wife Debbie was granted a quick divorce after Seaman admitted adultery. In 1985 Seaman and his first wife Sandra had divorced after he had admitted to having an affair with Debbie who was an Arsenal receptionist.

David Seaman was selected to be one of the all-stars to appear in the final series of Dancing on Ice in 2014. He was paired with Frankie Poultney.
