Sylvain Longchambon was born in France on 30 July 1980.

In 2013, Sylvain Longchambon was paired with Samia Ghadie on Dancing on Ice.

They came fifth.

They married in 2016. The year before, Samia had given birth to their son Yves Longchambon.

In 2011 Sylvain Longchambon appeared in his first series of ITV's Dancing on Ice. At the time he was 30 years old.

Sylvain Longchambon was paired with Jennifer Metcalfe in Dancing on Ice.

Even before Dancing on Ice began, rumours started to emerge of a romance between Sylvain Longchambon and Jennifer Metcalfe.

They were the seventh couple to be voted off Dancing on Ice, after losing a skate-off against Vanilla Ice and Katie Stainsby.

The 5'11 skater represented France and was often paired with Caroline Truong.

However, in 2006, Sylvain Longchambon turned professional.

Sylvain Longchambon was selected to be one of the professional ice skaters to appear in the final series of Dancing on Ice in 2014. He was paired with Jorgie Porter.

In November 2017, ITV announced that Sylvain Longchambon would be one of the professional ice skaters on the next series of Dancing on Ice, set to return to the screens in 2018.

In 2019, Sylvain was paired with Jane Danson, who had been a bridesmaid at his wedding.

Sylvain and Jane, along with Brandee Malto and Ryan Sidebottom, were eliminated 6th and 7th in the same show.

In 2023, he partnered Mollie Gallagher on Dancing on Ice. They narrowly missed out on being in the final three. Together with Siva Kaneswaran and Klabera Komini they were the seventh and eighth couples to be eliminated.

In 2024, Sylvain was paired with Roxy Shahidi.They were the fourth couple to be voted off.
