Who is Vick Hope?

Her full name is Victoria Nwosu-Hope and she is best known as a DJ on Capital FM, where together with Roman Kemp she hosts the breakfast show.

Born in Newcastle of Nigerian descent, she studied French, Spanish and Portuguese at Cambridge University,

Before becoming a broadcaster she was a journalist as an intern in Argentina and then hosted a show for MTV in Buenos Aires.

Her TV credits include co-hosting Sky One's Carnage, with Freddie Flintoff and Lethal Bizzle.

In 2018 Vick Hope was a digital reporter on The Voice and The Voice Kids.

In her spare time she volunteers at a social drop-in centre in Hackney in east London for asylum seekers and migrants.

In 2018, Vick Hope was named as one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.

She was partnered with Graziano Di Prima.

They were the fourth couple to be voted off Strictly in 2018.

In August 2020, the BBC announced that Vick Hope would be the new co-host of Radio 1’s Life Hacks (Sundays, 4-6pm) and The Official Chart: First Look on Radio 1 (Sundays, 6-7pm).

She then hosted, with Jordan North, Radio 1's drivetime show Going Home, and in February 2024, the BBC announced that Jamie Laing would take over from Jordan to co-present the show with Vick.
