Jamie Laing came to widespread public attention when he started appearing on Made in Chelsea in 2011. He became a regular on the show.

He has a number of strings to his bow including co-hosting the podcast Private Parts with Francis Boulle and also founding Candy Kittens.

Jamie Laing studied at Radley College and the University of Leeds.

He is a descendant of Alexander Grant, who invented the Digestive biscuit.

No stranger to celebrity television shows, in 2019, Jamie Laing was to become a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, however, he pulled after injuring his foot while recording the launch show.

His replacement Kelvin Fletcher, paired with Oti Mabuse, went on to win.

A year later in 2020, Jamie Laing was once again lined up to appear on Strictly Come Dancing. This time he was paired with Karen Hauer.

They ended up reaching the final (of the last four pairs).

Laing became the presenter of the Radio 1 podcast ‘6 Degrees from Jamie and Spencer’ for BBC Sounds. He also hosted the BBC Three show ‘I Like The Way U Move’.

In October 2022, he started covering for Mollie King whilst she was on maternity leave, co-hosting the weekend afternoon slot on Radio 1.

Jamie Laing married Sophie Habboo, whom he met whilst on Made in Chelsea.

Jamie and Sophie made a podcast series Newlyweds. He also co-hosts the Radio 1 podcast 6 Degrees from Jamie and Spencer.

In February 2024, the BBC announced that Jamie Laing would co-present with Vick Hope Radio 1's drivetime show Going Home.
