In 2009, professional ice skater Florentine Houdiniere was the partner of Donal Macintyre on Dancing on Ice.

In spite of a difficult start, Florentine and Donal came second in Dancing on Ice.

French skater and choreographer Florentine Houdinire was born on 13 July 1975.

Her accolades include being French Junior National champion in 1992.

In 1996, she became a professional skater and joined the international company of Holiday on Ice.

Florentine Houdiniere once pointed out how much travelling she had done through ice skating:

"I've toured the U.S., Canada and Japan with Disney on Ice, and Germany, Belgium, Holland, France and Sweden with Holiday on Ice. I worked quite a bit with the Ice Theatre of New York and at the Andy Williams [Moon River] Theatre in Branson, Missouri, with [Willy] Bietak Productions."

Although new to Dancing on Ice in the UK, Florentine Houdinire won 'Sterren dansen op het ijs' in The Netherlands in 2006 partnering Hein Vergeer.

The following year, she entered the show partnering Vital Borkelmans, the former Club Brugge player.

Florentine Houdiniere has often performed with Nick Keagan and has also regularly partnered another Dancing on Ice newcomer in 2009 Stuart Widdall.

Florentine Houdiniere's official website points out that from April - September 2008 she performed Adagio with Stuart Widdall in 'Country on the Rocks'.
