Sam Marchant's Biography

Sam Marchant and her twin Amanda Marchant were 18 year olds from Stoke when they entered Big Brother series 8, although Sam was five minutes older.

Sam Marchant was born on 26 June 1988.

Much of Sam and Manda Marchant's profiles are the same. They share the same likes (pink, boys, shopping, make-up), and dislikes (chavs, complicated jokes), however, Sam likes cheese whereas Manda does not.

Sam and Manda Marchant both study Social Work at Manchester Metropolitan University. They had never been abroad before Big Brother.

Sam Marchant is reportedly the slightly less dominant of the twins and had a boyfriend before going into Big Brother.

Big Brother's Little Brother's analysis of the twins is that Sam has a slightly rounder face with a piggy nose, whilst Amanda wears more make-up.

Sam and Manda's parents, Janet and Peter are divorced. They have a younger sister called Claire.

The twins, nicknamed Samanda, chose to be treated as one housemate when given the choice by Big Brother in the middle of the series.

Sam and Amanda jointly came second in Big Brother series 8, beaten only by Brian.

Sam and Amanda were signed to Sony BMG shortly after Big Brother and their first project was to release a cover version of Barbie Girl.

Samantha went on to work as a senior sales manager at a creative fashion agency, whilst Amanda became an assistant merchandiser as ASOS.
