Ziggy Lichman's Biography

Zachary more commonly known as Ziggy Lichman was a 26 year-old music producer / promoter from Totteridge when he entered Big Brother series 8. Ziggy was the first man in the house, sharing with 11 women.

Ziggy went through several ups and down in Big Brother, in particular, there was the on/off relationship with Chanelle, dubbed Chiggy.

30 July 2007 proved a notable day for Ziggy. Firstly, he had a big row with Chanelle, then she walked from the Big Brother house and then later in the day, he was moved to the 'halfway house'.

Before Big Brother, Ziggy, who was born in January 1981 and went to Haberdashers' Aske's school, lived with his family and his dog Molly. Although single, he had been in a relationship shortly before Big Brother.

Ziggy's past romances include former Hear'say singer Suzanne Shaw. He had also been romantically linked to Abi Titmuss and Natasha Hamilton.

Ziggy was a singer in a boy band called Northern Line, which like Jennifer Lopez, to whose 30th birthday Ziggy was invited, were managed by ABC management.

Before Northern Line, Ziggy was in a band called Volume 5 with Duncan James, later of Blue.

Ziggy has been a model and was featured in a campaign for French Connection and he rates one of his most exciting moments as seeing himself on a billboard in Time Square.

Ziggy plays in goal for Southgate Harmen A and supports Arsenal. The Jewish Chronicle quoted Simon Lyons, manager of Southgate Harmen, as saying of Ziggy:

"He's a talented player and a very good guy. I think he has a great chance of winning. He's very determined when he sets his mind to something. He's down to earth, friendly and gets on with everyone."

On Big Brother's Big Mouth, Chris Moyles revealed that Ziggy Lichman had once slept on his living room floor.

On Day 4 of Big Brother, Ziggy said in the diary room: "I have a soft spot for Chanelle ... I've found Chanelle has got good manners, which is important to me. And she's a beautiful girl."

In the first week of Big Brother, Ziggy was the only housemate allowed to nominate. He put up for eviction Emily, whom he called "bitchy", and Shabnam, whom he described as "bone idle and selfish".

In Big Brother, Ziggy, who is Jewish, revealed that his parents were not orthodox and he would not be expected to marry a Jewish girl.

Ziggy Lichman has a tattoo on his chest that says in Latin American Spanish, 'we head for the sun'.

Ziggy survived until the final day of Big Brother and finished in fourth spot.

The on/off relationship between Ziggy and Chanelle continued after Big Brother, but eventually fizzled out.
