Jason Taylor's Biography
The 6 foot 6 inches tall defensive end went to the University of Akron.
At the time of Dancing with the Stars (see below), Jason Taylor had played for the Miami Dolphins for more than a decade and was the Dolphins leader in quarterback sacks and consecutive games played.
However, in 2008 Taylor had a short spell with the Washington Redskins, before rejoining the Dolphins, when, in May 2009, it was announced that Jason Taylor had signed a $1.5 million, one-year contract to return to the Miami Dolphins.
From 2000 to 2006, Jason Taylor had earned five Pro Bowl selections.
In 2007 he was the NFL Man of the Year Award Winner and he was 2006's NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
Jason Taylor holds the NFL record for touchdowns by a defensive lineman.
In July 2004 Jason Taylor and his wife, Katina, established The Jason Taylor Foundation, to facilitate the personal growth and empowerment of South Florida's children.
In Dancing with the Stars series 6, Jason Taylor partnered Edyta Sliwinska.
Jason improved throughout the series and he and Edyta ended up runners-up.
