Cheryl Burke was born on 3 May 1984 in Northern California.Cheryl comes from a Filipino, Irish, and Russian background. She started ballet when she was four and ballroom dancing at 11 years old, competing from 13.
In 2005, Cheryl Burke was World Cup Latin Professional Rising Star Champion as well as San Francisco Open Latin Champion.
In People's interview with Cheryl Burke in March 2007, she explained that she started dating her boyfriend Matthew Lawrence at the end of December 2006 when she was on the Dancing with the Stars tour with his brother, Joey Lawrence.
In April 2008, Cheryl Burke opened her own dance studio in San Francisco, The Cheryl Burke Dance Center.
In January 2010, People reported that Cheryl Burke and the model Maxwell Zagorski had split up.
In Dancing with the Stars season 12, Cheryl Burke was partnered with Chris Jericho. They were the fifth couple to be voted off.
