In Dancing with the Stars series 8, Julianne Hough danced with her then boyfriend Chuck Wicks.

Julianne and Chuck were the eighth couple to be voted off Dancing with the Stars.

Julianne Hough's fourth show on Dancing with the Stars was season 7, in which she partnered Cody Linley.

Half way through the series, however, Julianne Hough needed an operation to remove her appendix and was substituted by Edyta Sliwinska, whilst she recovered.

Julianne resumed partnering Cody in the semi-final stage of Dancing with the Stars but they failed to reach the final, finishing fourth.

Julianne Hough's first full season on Dancing with the Stars was a winning one as in the fourth series she and her dance partner Apolo Anton Ohno danced to victory.

In the fifth series of Dancing with the Stars, Julianne Hough won again, partnering Helio Castroneves.

In the sixth series of Dancing with the Stars, Julianne Hough and Adam Carolla were the fourth couple to be voted off.

One of Julianne's brothers, Derek Hough is also a dancer on Dancing with the Stars and the two went to the UK at a young age to stay with the Corky and Shirley Ballas and Julianne partnered Mark Ballas, who is also on Dancing with the Stars.

In series 7 of Dancing with the Stars, Mark's father Corky Ballas, with whom Julianne stayed in London, appeared on the show for the first time.

Together Julianne and Mark won a host of dance titles including the junior gold medal at the 2001 International Championships.

Julianne returned to the States and when Kym Johnson was injured, Julianne substituted for her in season 1.

People magazine has an article about Julianne Hough postponing her wedding to former dancer Zach Wilson which had been planned for August 2007.

In the end, the engagement to Zach Wilson ended and she started going out with Chuck Wicks.

They announced their engagement in August 2015.

In May 2008, Country Music Television reported how Julianne Hough's self-titled debut CD went to the top of Billboard's country albums chart.

In April 2009, Julianne Hough won the new artist and new female vocalist awards at the Country Music Awards.

On 16 June 2010, ZAP2it reported: "Guess the cat's officially out of the bag on who Ryan Seacrest's new lady love is. She is none other than Julianne Hough ..."

In September 2014, she became a judge on Dancing with the Stars.

In 2020, she broke up from her husband Brooks Laich.

In 2023, she joined Alfonso Ribeiro as co-host of Dancing with the Stars.
