Mark Ballas's Biography
Although Mark Ballas was born in Houston, Texas, when he was very young his family moved to London.
Mark's parents are the famous dancers Shirley and Corky Ballas. In series 7 of Dancing with the Stars, Corky Ballas danced for the first time on Dancing with the Stars.
Mark Ballas started dancing aged six, but he has also amassed credits as a singer and actor, for example, playing the lead in the musical Copa Cabana.
Mark Ballas's professional dance partner was fellow Dancing with the Stars dancer, Julianne Hough.
Mark and Julianne's dance titles include the junior gold medal at the 2001 International Championships.
Julianne and her brother Derek Hough, another Dancing with the Stars stalwart, used to live with the Ballas family in London and Mark and Derek were in a band together.
