Warrington-born Steven Arnold's credits as an actor included Common As Muck, Hettie Wainthropp Investigates and The Bill before he landed the recurring role of Joe Lloyd in Children's Ward.

In 1995, Steven Arnold was cast as Ashley Peacock in Coronation Street.

However, in December 2010, Steven Arnold's character Ashley Peacock was killed off when he was crushed to death in a tram crash on the soap.
