Dave Vitty, also known as Comedy Dave, was born on 24 April 1974 in Hong Kong.

In 1995 Dave Vitty graduated from the University of Chester's Warrington campus in Media Studies and Business Management.

Comedy Dave is Chris Moyles's sidekick on his radio show.

Dave Vitty started at the bottom of the BBC, before he began working on The Chris Moyles Show.

Dave Vitty worked with Chris Moyles for 5 years on his afternoon show on Radio One before they moved to the breakfast show in 2004.

Dave Vitty has also appeared alongside Mark Chapman on BBC Radio 5 Live, Radio 1, a celebrity edition of The Weakest Link, Sport Relief and Comic Relief.

Comedy Dave is also the narrator of Channel Four's Coach Trip.

His second wife is the presenter Jayne Sharp.

In 2011, Dave Vitty was paired with Frankie Poultney on Dancing on Ice.

Comedy Dave and Frankie came ninth on Dancing on Ice.

In March 2011, Comedy Dave Vitty and Chris Moyles set a Guinness World Record for broadcasting the longest music show by a radio team and thereby raised £2.6 million for Comic Relief Red Nose Day.

In June 2012, the BBC commissioned Dave Vitty to host BBC Radio 5 live's The Kids Guide to the Olympics, to be transmitted on 7 and 14 July 2012.
