Kerry Katona's Biography
Kerry Katona was born in Warrington, Cheshire.
She had a tough childhood. According to Lynn Barber's article in The Observer, entitled Pop stardom, drugs, rehab, two books, three kids - the quiet life of Kerry Katona:
"Her mother Sue, the daughter of a prostitute, was a drug addict and alcoholic who disappeared on binges sometimes for days at a time and frequently attempted suicide - Kerry saw her slitting her wrists when she was only three. Kerry never knew her real father - he was a married man who cleared off before she was born."
In 1999, Kerry Katona became part of the girl group Atomic Kitten, however she was replaced by Jenny Frost in 2001.
In January 2002, Kerry Katona married Brian McFadden from Westlife in County Meath, Ireland.
They had two children Molly and Lily Sue.
In 2004 Kerry Katona won I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
In the same year she broke up with Brian McFadden.
Subsequently she did not follow a career in music, instead she pursued a variety of roles including being a columnist for OK magazine, appearing in numerous reality TV shows based largely around her troubled life, publishing an autobiography Too Much Too Young, and a novel Tough Love.
Meanwhile in 2007, Kerry Katona married taxi driver Mark Croft in Gretna Green.
They had two children.
In August 2008, Katona was declared bankrupt, after she failed to pay the final £82,000 of a £417,000 tax demand.
In 2010, Kerry Katona reportedly broke up with Mark Croft.
In 2011, Kerry Katona was paired with Dan Whiston in Dancing on Ice.
Kerry and Daniel came eighth in Dancing on Ice.
In August 2011, Kerry Katona entered Celebrity Big Brother.
She was runner-up.
In 2012, Kerry Katona appeared in an episode of the Channel Five series Celebrity Wedding Planner.
In 2014, she married George Kay, however they divorced in 2019.
Subsequently she got engaged to Ryan Mahoney.
