Hayley Tamaddon grew up in Blackpool. Her father Nassi, who is Iranian, was a hotel manager and her mother Carole owned a restaurant.

When she was 16, Hayley Tamaddon joined the Laine Theatre Arts college in north London where she stayed until she was 18.

When she left there, she gained various roles in musicals until she lost her voice, having created a hole in her vocal chords and she had to give up singing for a year.

Hayley Tamaddon started to gain TV acting credits including Where The Heart Is and The Royal, but her major breakthrough came in 2005, when she was cast as Delilah Dingle in Emmerdale.

After leaving Emmerdale, Hayley Tamaddon appeared in The Royal Today as a stripper who gets stuck in a nurse's uniform.

As well as acting, Hayley Tamaddon has appeared on TV in competition. She came second to Antony Cotton on Soapstar Superstar in January 2007 and was chosen to compete on Dancing on Ice in 2010, in which she partnered Dan Whiston.

Hayley and Dan consistently scored high scores and in week 9 of Dancing on Ice their skating to Tally Ho from Slumdog Millionaire scored a maximum 30 and a standing ovation from the judges.

Hayley and Dan won Dancing on Ice 2010.

Hayley Tamaddon is 5ft 2in tall.

Hayley met her partner Darren Charles when they appeared in Grease together: she was playing Frenchie and he was a dancer.

However, in June 2010 The Mail reported that Hayley Tamaddon and Darren Charles had broken up.

Hayley Tamaddon was selected to be one of the all-stars to appear in the final series of Dancing on Ice in 2014. Once again, she was paired with Dan Whiston. They came second.
