Danny Young's Biography

Danny Young is best known for playing footballer Warren Baldwin in Coronation Street, but his character was written out of the soap in August 2005 after eight months when his character was transferred from Weatherfield Athletic to Real Aguila in Spain.

Danny Young did make some appearances in Coronation Street the following year.

Danny Young's on-screen girlfriend on Corrie was also his real-life girlfriend. He went out with Nikki Sanderson, who played Candice Stowe in the soap.

However, in February 2009, it was reported that Nikki Sanderson and Danny Young had split up after four years together.

In 2009 Danny Young was cast as Gates in The Rapture. He was also working on The Manor with his The Rapture co-stars Danny Dyer and Billy Murray.

Before Coronation Street, Danny Young's credits included playing Dean alongside Tamzin Outhwaite and David Tennant in Out of Control, which won the Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature Film at the Edinburgh Festival in 2002.

Danny Young was selected as one of the celebrities on ITV's Dancing on Ice 2010. He was paired with Frankie Poultney.

Danny and Frankie narrowly missed out on the semi-finals and ended up fifth.
