The Vivienne, also known as James Lee Williams, was born in Wales on 12 April 1992.
She moved to Liverpool whilst still a teenager.
She came to prominence after winning season one of RuPaul's Drag Race UK in 2019.
Previously (in 2015), she had been appointed UK Drag Ambassador by RuPaul, producing vlogs to accompany Drag Race in the US.
The Vivienne returned to All Stars 7, the first all winners season of Drag Race.
She also had her own show The Vivienne Takes on Hollywood, which was broadcast on BBC Three.
She has also appeared on I Like to Watch UK.
In 2023, The Vivienne appeared on Dancing on Ice. She was paired with Colin Grafton. They came third.
She died, aged just 32, in January 2025.
