In Dancing on Ice in 2009, Ray Quinn partnered Maria Filippov to victory.

Their strong performances were highlighted in week 6 of Dancing on Ice when Ray and Maria scored a maximum 30 from the judges.

Ray and Maria went on to score 60 out of 60 in the final of Dancing on Ice and then won the public vote.

The Dancing on Ice champion, X Factor contestant and former Brookside actor Ray Quinn was born on 25 August 1988.

Ray Quinn was nine when he started acting and was twelve when he appeared as Anthony Murray in Brookside.

Ray Quinn won the award for Best Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards 2002. He also won the prize for the best young actor at the Inside Soap awards.

Ray Quinn and fellow competitor Leona Lewis beat off Ben Mills to sing it out in The X Factor final.

In the end, Leona Lewis triumphed and Ray Quinn was the 2006 runner-up.

In spite of not winning The X Factor, Ray Quinn was given a record contract with the SonyBMG label through Simon Cowell.

The X Factor was not Raymond Quinn's first talent contest. He was awarded £5000 for winning the Search for a Star competition.

According to BBC Liverpool reporting on a Tsunami Appeal benefit:

"The highlight of the entire evening was Raymond [Quinn]'s own version of Dean Martin's Ain't That A Kick In The Head, which was performed with a strong sense of humour and enormous panache."

Raymond Quinn supported Henshaws Society for Blind People in a fashion show.

Ray Quinn used to go out with dancer Kirsten McInery, but then started dating Emma Stephens from Grease.

In an article about his stay in Hollywood to record his debut album, Ray Quinn told The Mirror: " ... drink and drugs are just not for me. If I have the odd drink I come out in spots ... Anyway I'm so grateful to Simon Cowell, and the opportunity he has given me."

Ray Quinn's Doing It My Way album was released on March 12, 2007 in the UK and it went straight to number one.

In July 2007 Ray Quinn, along with Bonnie Langford and Pierre Dulaine, was made a judge on ITV's Baby Ballroom.

In 2008, Ray Quinn was cast as Doody in the West End musical Grease for a limited season from June 16.

In 2011 Ray Quinn appeared as Billy in Dirty Dancing at the Aldwych Theatre in London.

In 2011, Ray Quinn got engaged to Emma Stephens, and they married in April 2012.

He was selected to be one of the all-stars to appear in the final series of Dancing on Ice in 2014. Once again he was paired with Maria Filippov, and once again, they won.
