Chris Jericho was born Christopher Irvine on November 9, 1970 in Manhasset, New York, although he grew up in Winnipeg, Canada.

His father Ted Irvine was a National Hockey League player.

Although Chris Jericho became a six-time WWE world champion, he has various other strings to his bow apart from wrestling, including authoring a couple of best-selling autobiographies, being lead singer of the rock band Fozzy, hosting the game show Downfall, and hosting his own show on XM Satellite Radio, The Rock of Jericho.

Chris Jericho began wrestling when he was 19 and became the only wrestler to have held six different titles in World Wrestling Entertainment.

In his last run with WWE, Chris Jericho enjoyed reigns as Unified Tag Team Champion with Edge and Big Show and became a six-time World Champion at No Way Out in 2010.

In 2007 he published his autobiography, A Lion's Tale: Around the World in Spandex, which he followed up with another memoir Undisputed: How to Become the World Champion in 1,372 Easy Steps.

Chris Jericho has also gained acting credits such as Android Apocalypse and Albino Farm.

In 2011 he was paired with Cheryl Burke on Dancing with the Stars season 12. They were the fifth couple to be voted off.
