Ralph George Macchio was born on 4 November 1961 in Huntington, Long Island, New York to an Italian family.
Ralph Macchio started his acting career as a child in commercials.
Ralph Macchio first came to widespread public attention when he starred as Daniel LaRusso in The Karate Kid in 1984, and reprised the role in The Karate Kid II and The Karate Kid III.
Previously, he had played Johnny Cade in Francis Ford Coppola's The Outsiders.
Subsequently, Ralph Macchio's credits included the film My Cousin Vinny and the TV show Ugly Betty.
In 2011 he was paired with Karina Smirnoff in Dancing with the Stars season 12. They came fourth.
In 2020, he reprised his role as Daniel LaRusso in Netflix's Cobra Kai.
