Who is Samantha Mumba?
Samantha Mumba's mother was an air stewardess and her father was an aircraft engineer.Samantha and her brother Omero went to the Billy Barry stage school in Dublin, and both were in the media from a young age.
Samantha Mumba appeared on TV when she was just 4.
Her biggest break, however, was meeting Louis Walsh who got her signed to Polydor Records.
Samantha Mumba's debut single, Gotta Tell You, was a hit and was followed by several others.
She also acted in Steven Spielberg's version of The Time Machine.
In July 2004, the BBC reported how Samantha Mumba turned up to a Spider-Man 2 London premiere wearing a black dress encrusted with £5m of the gems, which had been designed by Scott Henshall.
In Dancing on Ice in 2008 Samantha Mumba's skating partner was Pavel Aubrecht.
Samantha Mumba and Pavel Aubrecht had a shock in the first week of Dancing on Ice when they faced the skate-off, but the judges voted unanimously to save them and for Sarah Greene to leave.
However, Samantha and Pavel did not last much longer. They lost a skate-off in the third week of Dancing on Ice against Steve Backley and Susie Lipanova.
In 2014, she released the single Only Just Begun.
