He came third in Pop Idol in 2003, and subsequently formed a professional partnership with the second placed Mark Rhodes.
They had a short career in pop music, but then moved into TV presenting, where their credits have included Top Of The Pops Reloaded (with Fearne Cotton), TMi, Who Wants To Be A Superhero, Level Up, Skate Nation, Jump Nation, Copycats, and Sam & Mark's Big Friday Wind Up.
Sam & Mark are also regular reporters on This Morning.
In 2012, both Sam and Mark entered Dancing on Ice.
Sam Nixon was paired with Alexandra Schaumann on Dancing on Ice. They came seventh.
