Cherry Healey's Biography
Cherry Healey was born Cherry Kathleen Chadwyck-Healey on 5 December 1980.
She grew up in Suffolk, but moved to London when she was 10.
She started her media career as a researcher at the BBC on a children’s show called Exchange.
She then worked as an assistant producer on a holiday programme.
Her first venture in front of camera as a presenter was a BBC Three documentary about alcohol, Cherry Goes Drinking.
She then became a regular presenter often tackling social issues from a personal angle.
Her first series was called Cherry Has a Baby, in which she ended up giving birth on camera in September 2009, to her first child Coco.
Her other credits include Cherry Goes Dating, Cherry Gets Married, Body Image, Old Before My Time, So You Think You Can Drive, Britain's Supermarket Foods, and Cherry Wants Answers.
Cherry has also written for the likes of Grazia and Mother and Baby.
In 2016, she became one of the contestants on Celebrity Masterchef.
In December 2016, Channel Four announced that Cherry Healey would be one of the three presenters of The Health Detectives.
In 2019, she explored the scientific methods for cooking the perfect turkey in the BBC Two documentary Inside the Christmas Factory.
She has co-presented several series of inside The Factory.
In December 2024, the BBC announced that that in the next series, Cherry and historian Ruth Goodman would be joined by Paddy McGuinness.
