Lil' Kim was born Kimberly Denise Jones in New York.

Lil' Kim is reportedly 4'11" tall.

When she was 15, Lil' Kim was thrown out of home by her father.

In 1995 she came to prominence as a member of Junior MAFIA, which was formed by Notorious BIG.

Lil' Kim's debut solo album Hard Core was released in 1996. It was co-produced by Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

Lil' Kim became known as Queen Bee, which is also the name of her own record company.

In 2001 Lil' Kim together with Christina Aguilera, Pink, and Mýa had a number one Billboard Hot 100 hit with Lady Marmalade.

Lil' Kim has acted in Moesha and The Game on TV, and Zoolander, She's All That, Juwanna Man, and You Got Served in the movies.

She has also featured on her own reality series Countdown to Lockdown.

In 2006 Lil' Kim was released from a federal detention centre in Philadelphia after serving nearly 10 months, after being found guilty of lying to a federal grand jury about a shoot-out outside a Manhattan radio station.

In Dancing with the Stars season 8, Lil' Kim partnered Derek Hough.

Lil' Kim and Derek came fifth.
