Who is Gabby Logan?

Gabby Logan was born Gabby Yorath on 24 April 1973, the daughter of famous footballer, Terry Yorath.

Gabby herself was athletic as a youngster and competed as a gymnast at the 1990 Commonwealth Games.

She went to Durham University to study law, after which she worked for various radio stations before starting at Sky Sports in 1996.

At Sky, Gabby fronted various sports programmes, however after two years she moved to ITV to present On The Ball.

Gabby Logan enhanced her reputation as a sports broadcaster at ITV before moving to rivals, the BBC, where she has hosted shows on radio and TV, including covering for Gary Lineker on Match of the Day and presenting the respected magazine show Inside Sport on BBC1 (repeated on BBC2).

In 2013, Gabby Logan and Vernon Kay hosted Splash on ITV1.

In Strictly Come Dancing, Gabby Logan danced with James Jordan whilst her husband, Kenny Logan, partnered James's wife Ola Jordan in a type of celebrity wife swap.

Gabby and James were the surprise couple to be eliminated in the fourth week.

Gabby and Kenny Logan have twins.

In July 2017, the BBC revealed that Gabby Logan earned over £200,000 from licence fee revenue in their financial year 2016/7.

In the New Year's Honours list announced at the end of 2019, Gabby Logan was made an MBE.

In 2023, Gabby Logan and her husband Kenny were to receive "substantial" damages after the Mail Online falsely reported they had been paid to promote a tax avoidance scheme to celebrity friends.
