Who is Matthew Cutler?

Len Goodman was a judge when Matthew Cutler won the British junior championship.

Matthew used to dance with Nicole Cutler but they split up in 2003. Since then he had danced with Charlotte Egstrand.

Matthew's favourite dance is the jive and least favourite is the Cha-Cha - but that is partly because it's usually the first dance in the competition and is therefore more difficult to get into.

Matthew Cutler, who was born in Chelmsford in Essex, grew up in Southend-on-Sea. His brother, Jason Cutler designs costumes and his clients include Matthew and also Brendan Cole.

In series 7 of Strictly Come Dancing, Matthew Cutler partnered Martina Hingis, however they were voted off in the first week.

In series 6 of Strictly Come Dancing, Matthew Cutler partnered Christine Bleakley. Matthew and Christine ended up fifth.

Matthew Cutler, who partnered Siobhan Hayes in Strictly Come Dancing series 3 has a strong record in dance competitions, but was unfortunately voted off in the first week.

In the fourth series of Strictly Come Dancing, Matthew Cutler partnered Carol Smillie. They got as far as the ninth show, but in spite of receiving their best scores of the series, they were voted off.

In the fifth series of Strictly Come Dancing, Matthew Cutler was paired with Alesha Dixon and they beat Matt Di Angelo and Flavia Cacace to take the Strictly Come Dancing title.

In July 2010 it was revealed that Matthew Cutler was to leave Strictly Come Dancing.
