Kate and her husband Jon Gosselin had the twin girls first on October 8, 2000 and she gave birth to the sextuplets on May 10, 2004.

Kate and Jon Gosselin had met in 1997 and married in 1999.

Kate was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), and so underwent fertility treatments, which resulted in the multiple children.

Kate Gosselin and her family were spotlighted on TV for several seasons of TLC's popular reality TV show Jon and Kate Plus 8.
