Pamela Anderson's Biography

Pamela Denise Anderson was born on 1 July 1967, in British Columbia, Canada.

Pamela Anderson went from fitness instructor to possibly the world's best known glamour model in one easy step. Such a summing up is by no means an exaggeration for a woman who has beguiled the world with her every move.

It was during a Canadian Football League game that an eagle-eyed cameraman spotted Pamela Anderson in the crowd wearing a Labatts beer t-shirt. Her image was thrown onto the huge screen and the audience erupted. Labatts immediately hired her and she became instantly recognisable nationwide.

Pamela Anderson moved to Los Angeles in 1989 and was soon to feature on the cover of Playboy (she has appeared on the cover more than any other woman). This exposure led to her appearing in ABC television's Home Improvement and as luck would have it, she was spotted by David Hasselhoff, whose new series Baywatch was looking for the right kind of lifeguard.

It was at a New Year's Eve party in 1995 that Pamela Anderson met, Motley Crue drummer, Tommy Lee and they married four days later. They became a celebrity couple but the relationship was highly volatile and she filed for divorce in 1996.

Pamela Anderson starred in her own TV show, VIP about a bodyguard agency.

From November 2005 Pamela Anderson starred in a comedy called Stacked.

Pamela Anderson is often to be seen supporting animal rights causes and in January 2006, on behalf of PETA, she campaigned against KFC's treatment of chickens.

Pamela Anderson has two children, Brandon and Dylan.

In July 2006 Pamela Anderson's official website announced that she was getting married to Kid Rock, however on November 27, 2006 it just had a very short diary entry: "11/27/2006 - Divorce - Yes, it's true - Unfortunately impossible."

Pamela Anderson was listed in Playboy's 25 Sexiest Celebrities in 2007.

On October 6, 2007, Pamela Anderson married Rick Salomon, the former boyfriend of Paris Hilton, with whom he made an explicit video.

Just a few months later, in December 2007, Pamela Anderson filed for divorce from Rick Salomon citing irreconcilable differences. However, Pamela Anderson's diary entry for 17 December 2007 said: "P.S. We're working things out..."

Nevertheless, in March 2008 the marriage of Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon was officially annulled.

In July 2008, Pamela Anderson made a surprise visit to the Australian Big Brother house.

Pamela Anderson's recent film credits include Superhero Movie.

In 2009, Living TV commissioned two one-hour specials, Pamela Anderson: At Home with Joe, and Pamela Anderson: When Joe Came to Stay, in which Pamela Anderson and Joe Swash live together for a week.

In October 2009, it was revealed that Pamela Anderson would guest star in Aladdin for two weeks at the New Wimbledon Theatre as the Genie of the Lamp.

In 2010 Pamela Anderson was coupled with Damian Whitewood on Dancing with the Stars. They were the sixth couple to be eliminated.

In 2013, she was paired with Matt Evers on Dancing on Ice. However, they were the first couple to be eliminated.

In 2016, she spoke at the Oxford Union about the dangers of pornography.

On Christmas Eve, 2020, she married her bodyguard Dan Hayhurst.

In 2023, she released a memoir and a Netflix documentary about her life.
