Who is Shayne Ward?
Shayne Ward was born on 16 October 1984 in the north west of England.He was part of a group called Destiny and was in the early stages of Popstars: The Rivals, and was even signed with Louis Walsh prior to entering X Factor.
Shayne Ward came to widespread public attention in 2005 when he won X Factor.
His first single following on from X Factor, That's My Goal got to number 1.
Subsequent releases included No Promises and Breathless.
Shayne Ward also starred as Stacey Lexx in the West End musical Rock Of Ages.
From 2012 to 2014 he was engaged to Faye McKeever.
In 2013, Shayne Ward was paired with Maria Filippov on Dancing on Ice. They were the fifth couple to be eliminated.
In 2016, Shayne Ward won the award at the National Televsion Awards, The TV Choice Awards, and the Inside Soap Awards for best newcomer for his work on Coronation Street, playing Aidan Connor.
In the same year, he started dating Sophie Austin who plays Lindsey Roscoe in Hollyoaks.
In August 2016, the couple revealed that Sophie was pregnant. In December 2016, they had a daughter.
In 2022, they had a boy.
Subsequent to Coronation Street, his credits include playing the lead character in The Good Ship Murder on Channel 5.
In 2024, he became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing. He was paired with Nancy Xu.
