Who is Max Evans?

Max Evans was born on 12 September 1983 in Torquay, the son of professional golfer Brian Evans, who is the cousin of Chris Evans.

Although born in England he would become best known for playing rugby for Scotland.

He made his Scotland debut as a replacement against Canada in November 2008.

His younger brother Thom Evans had also been capped for Scotland.

Max had stints at London Scottish and Glasgow Hawks before joining Glasgow Warriors in 2007.

He left there in 2011 and joined the French side Castres for whom he played until 2015.

In his early days he suffered a back injury whilst at the Harlequins academy and became an accomplished golfer during his period away from rugby.

In January 2017, Max Evans split from his wife of two years the American model Katy Johnson.

In October 2017, ITV announced that Max Evans would be one of the celebrity skaters on Dancing on Ice.

He was partnered with Ale Izquierdo.

His brother Thom had appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014.

Max and Ale ended up third.
