Who is Simon Rimmer?

Simon Rimmer was born on 5 May 1963 in Wallasey.

He is the chef and co-presenter with Tim Lovejoy of Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.

He has appeared on numerous television programmes related to food including Something for the Weekend, Tricks of the Restaurant Trade, Great British Menu and Win It, Cook It.

Although a meat-eater, Simon Rimmer has enjoyed much success with his vegetarian cooking including taking over Greens restaurant in West Didsbury in Manchester in 1990 when he had no culinary experience and his first book The Accidental Vegetarian.

He is a chef/owner of several restaurants in England and one in Dubai. However in January 2024, his vegetarian restaurant Greens in Didsbury closed after 33 years.

Simon Rimmer on Strictly Come Dancing

In 2017, Simon Rimmer became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.

He was paired with Karen Hauer.

Simon and Karen were the fifth couple to be eliminated.

Trivia
His favourite ingredient is beetroot.
